Price's character in PENDULUM has a weird obsession with the "primal scene" where his father slays his faithless wife, and then he projects his obsession onto a couple of schemers. Elsa has a weird obsession with her father, who marries a woman as young as she and then dies, and then she ends up projecting her wrath upon a scheming husband.
